As part of the rollout of its new service model, Shred Vault has taken possession of its first dedicated kiosk support van.
Effective immediately, the more efficient and nimbler service van will replace the standard bulk collection trucks that have been removing deposited Shred Vault Bags (SVBs). The new Shred Vault service van will also be used to restock the kiosk’s built-in SVB dispenser.
According to Jim Hood, the company’s Chief Operation Officer, the dedicated service van is yet another step in the direction of both service efficiency and heightened responsiveness.
“The addition of the Shred Vault service van increases our agility as we work to deliver a high-quality, always-on service. Through this investment we will increase the uptime of our regional kiosk network as well as reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR) when issues arise.”
According to Hood, this enhances the service model unfolding across the country.
“The flexibility offered by this capability becomes an advantage as we open new markets across the country. We can respond in minutes without fear of impacting predefined routes or scheduled services.” said Hood. “That said, we’re still learning and testing, and we’ll always be exploring more efficient operational strategies. That’s one of the best parts of my job.”
