User Data We Collect from Your Use of the Service
“Use of Service” includes creation of a Shred Vault account, the ordering of Shred Vault Bags, the depositing of Shred Vault Bags into a Shred Vault Kiosk, and receipt of communications from us regarding your use of Shred Vault.
When depositing your Shred Vault Bag into a Shred Vault Kiosk, a security camera located within the Shred Vault Kiosk will take a photograph of your face. The photograph will be time/date/location stamped. These photographs are associated with the Shred Vault Bag bar code, which is associated with your Account. Photographs may also be taken if a security alert is triggered from the Shred Vault Kiosk. We collect this information as part of our security protocols and in connection with our certification standards. Captured images are subject to the protections and retention polices set forth herein.
We may also collect your phone number when you use the Shred Vault Kiosk, and periodically ask you to participate in surveys.

Shred Vault will retain your personal information for 5 years from your most recent interaction or the resolution of your most recent transaction, whichever is longer.

Among your Data Subject Rights is the authority to delete your Account, including the deletion of your personal information in our possession, provided there are no open transactions or regulatory retention requirements, including but not necessarily limited to outstanding Fees owed to Shred Vault. Your termination of your Account will forfeit all access to or use of Shred Vault, historical information regarding your Shred Vault interactions, and all warrantees relevant to the use of Shred Vault. Shred Vault reserves the right to retain whatever information is required to satisfy its legal or regulatory retention obligations.
Reasonable and verified Data Subject Requests will be fulfilled within 30 days.
Written requests to exercise Data Subject Rights should be submitted via the DSR Submission Form.
